Micronix Eagle-2820 (ME-2820) is an embedded ARM9 system based on Atmel’s AT91SAM9G20 microcontroller enclosed in a box made of steel. The Eagle-2800 series is a PC/104* CPU that can be used in combination with many of the ME-modules from the Micronix Eagle system. A combination of a power supply, a GSM/GPRS modem, a GPS receiver and Ethernet makes this module very useful in many standalone applications. 


Wireless communication can be obtained using the GPRS/SMS feature on the GSM/GPRS modem. The SIM card is secured in a push & push SIM card socket placed on a GSM/GPRS/GPS sub module. The Eagle-2800 series uses Telit’s quad band (900/950/1800/1900MHz) cellular engine and a SiRFstarIIITM single chip GPS receiver. The modem is controlled by AT commands, supported by an on-board UART, and is fully compatible with the AT command set.


The Eagle-2800 series comes with a Linux OS installed. It has a preinstalled data logging application, which can log analogue and digital inputs periodically or based on input events. Data can be stored in an internal RAM, Flash or on a Micro SD card. The system has a web interface for configuration and data retrieval, accessible through a direct USB connection to a PC, through GPRS, or through Ethernet.

Micronix Eagle-2800 series represents the latest development within GSM/GPRS technology and holds all the necessary approvals (R&TTE and GCF). The device is ideal for data logging and alarm systems. The Eagle-2800 series withstands extended temperatures, shock and vibration of mobile equipment.
